I was born and raised in Gdansk, the port city on
the polish Baltic coast. This year the city began its second Millennium.
My mother was my first inspiration. Her attraction to fine arts reflected
on me. In early childhood I begun to draw and paint. My breaking point
came around the spring of 1968. That year, I signed up for after school
art classes. Mrs. Maria Egertowicz, a well-respected artist in the local
community was my first instructor. Her teachings were very beneficial; I
become more competent and spiritually mature young artist. In about same
time, I was connected to other valuable mentor, accomplished local
painter, Mr. Stankiewicz. His advise helped to polish my artistic skills
and further develop my talent.
My birthplace is Gdansk where rich historic past and present merges
creating perfect settings for fulfilling, satisfying life of its people. Site were past
does not seems so distant. The city is full of picturesque medieval
streets, majestic churches, charming |
